About Rupali

Rupali is a senior lecturer, – Business & HR, an academic researcher and a former academic advisor.  She has 20+ years of work experience in India, Kuwait and Australia. She holds Bachelors in Business Administration, Masters in Economics, PGDBA in HR (MBA), Post Graduate in AI & Machine Learning and Post Graduate in Journalism and Mass communication. She holds teaching degrees from India (B.Ed.) and teaching certification from Australia (cert IV in Teaching, Training and Assessment, LLN). She worked in the industry for 8 -10years in India and Kuwait before joining the higher education sector as a faculty member (Kuwait) in 2014. She teaches business courses mostly, including HR and Communication courses. She has delivered HR and leadership trainings in the MENA region and India in the past decade

As she has taken a year break from work to focus on her doctorate and academic and she continues to contribute to academic research. Her current research interest includes Artificial intelligence in Higher education, AI Governance, Generative AI, Sustainable growth, Digitalization of Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Adoption of AI and technology in Human resource management.

She has mentored and guided various students’ teams in MENA region. She has received appreciation certificates from IBM (India), Best Teacher Award (AU, Kuwait), Certificate from UNIDO-Bahrain, Award from WARBA Bank, Kuwait for supporting ROWAD entrepreneurship program, received appreciation Awards from INJAZ, Kuwait for supporting their flagship program known as Company Program. Award from LOYAC for consultancy and trainings, Appreciation certificates from CFA Society of Kuwait for supporting CFA research challenge, Special certificates from AU for academic advising and organizing events. Like conference, graduation projects, career fair etc.  She has attended and participated in strong educational platforms like WISE, Qatar foundation to create awareness about youth challenges and importance of education in this disruptive time.

She believes in youth empowerment, and has actively worked with NGOs in Kuwait including, INJAZ, JA Worldwide, LOYAC and AIESEC. As an academician she collaborated with these non for profits organizations to bring various opportunities including job shadows, business incubators, entrepreneurship competition, job fairs, CV workshops, trainings for the youth in Kuwait.

In Australia, she is volunteering with local communities spreading awareness about political parties, current govt. policies and additionally, she created her successful campaign called C4C under UNHCR – Australia for supporting refugee’s. 

She has passionately worked on internships since past 15 years. She worked on international internships with LOYAC, Kuwait where she developed international internship programs and visited universities to select students to attend those internships. She coordinated internship collaborations with Oxfam-UK, HRW-UK, IFAD-Italy, FAO-Italy, DLA Piper-Dubai, ADC- USA and more in countries like Kenya, India, Jordon, Lebanon and Dubai.  She headed the internships in College of Business (COB), Australian University in Kuwait. She was able to create internship opportunities for all business students at COB in collaboration with private and public sector in Kuwait.

Industrial Committee

  • Head of this committee. University representative to deal with companies regarding PBL, Internships, research.

Department council (HR)

  • Member of HR department (formed in 2023).
  • The council was headed by HOD and as a member I was responsible for all academic and non-academic issues like exam issues, textbooks, courses development, students’ complaint.

Audit Committee (college level)

  • As a member, responsible for arranging department and college audit. The audit was done by visiting CQU (Central Queensland University from Queensland, Australia) every year between October to November.

ACBSP Committee

  • Founder member of ACBSP team, our team submitted the school of Business application to be a ACBSP member. Attended online ACBSP conferences during Covid-19 (2020).

Exam Committee

  • Responsible for scheduling and arranging logistics (dealing with IT, H&S) for Mid-term and final exams. Developed college procedures for smooth running of the exam. Co-member of this team since 2017.

Advising Committee

  • Academic issues like GPA, Complaints, career planning.
  • Academic advisor of the university till 2016 until this position was removed by the PUC (Public University Council). Since 2016, offered advising trainings to new joiners and received certificate from university for best advising practices.
